- Matches can come from the same canon, a CRAU, or an AU of your own devising. We highly encourage canonmates or CRAUmates, but it's up to you.
- If your characters are from a CRAU, they may not retain any memories that imply death is temporary. If your character in canon has reason to believe death is temporary, that's fine.
- Canonmates, CRAUmates, and AUmates can be close friends/family/etc., but it isn't necessary. They don't even have to have known each other. The only necessary tie is that they would be able to figure out they're from the same place.
- Likewise, we only allow one pair per CRAU, AU, or canon. We define this by whether the characters could conceivably figure out they're from the same place. For example, SDR2 and DR2 might be two different canons, but characters from both would both be aware they're from Hope's Peak.
- If you're running into a huge road block because of these rules, though, please talk to us. We might be willing to make some allowances to facilitate people being able to play.
- Note that we don't know yet whether second characters will be allowed. If you really want to pair with someone's second, consider pairing your second with theirs. Otherwise, plan to be okay with having your character randomly paired off if seconds don't wind up being allowed.
- Also, while we highly encourage you to find a match mate yourself, if you can't find someone, we're happy to randomly pair you with another applicant for AU-ing.
